SIngles Serving Together is a co-operative effort designed to help Kansas City metro area single adults make a difference in our community.
We have chosen these local ministries because their missions involve helping the less fortunate of KC.
Mission Adelante
Mission Adelante is an urban mission to Hispanic immigrants that seeks to win them to Christ through serving them at the point of their felt needs, discipling them rationally, mobilizing them to serve, and equipping them to lead toward the end of growing community – impacting leader-reproducing bilingual churches.
On February 21, those who choose to serve at Mission Adelante will work with skilled plumbers, electricians, and carpenters to help remodel and reconfigure the mission’s interior space.

The Hope Center
The Hope Center’s mission is to honor God by developing healthy communities where the vulnerable flourish. THC envisions a safe, vibrant neighborhood where people of all types flourish. Their eastside community will transform from a violent, hopeless, and declining one into a safe, pleasant place to live. Those in need will have the hope and support they require to improve their quality of life. Their community seeks to become one of the best places in the city for families to raise great kids.
On February 21, those who choose to serve at The Hope Center will help clean the main building and house, organize closets, clean out THC vehicles, and move furniture in the church building.

Temporary Lodging for Children
TLC’s mission is to provide opportunities that encourage positive growth and change for children, youth, and families while ensuring a safe environment. TLC was founded to fulfill an unmet need in our community for an emergency shelter for abused and neglected children. TLC provides services that compliment existing community services while maintaining responsiveness to changing community needs.
On February 21, those who choose to serve at TLC will help haul trash and heavy objects from a basement and clean the evacuated space to create a pantry and storage areas to store clothing and other donations for the kids that TLC serves.
Registration for Temporary Lodging for Children is currently closed. If you can lift and carry at least 75lbs and would like to serve at TLC, please contact sue_shroyer@hotmail.com.
Urban Scholastic Center
Urban Scholastic Center works to develop socially responsible Christian leaders through educational, social, and health-related programs. USC has educational programs in the public schools and has various holistic programs within the Urban Scholastic Center.
On February 21, those who choose to serve at Urban Scholastic Center will help build and install dry erase boards, paint, instal electrical outlets, and work on a concrete pad for a basketball court.
